What we collect
5=3 is a small, independent project run by Anna Maslennikov — not a company, and not something backed by an ad or analytics business. The site collects information only when you actively submit one of its two forms:
"Share your numbers" (on the Get Involved page): your X = Y numbers, your email address, optionally your country, and anything you choose to write in the free-text message. This is used only to read your submission and, if you say it's okay, to feature your numbers or story on the site or on Instagram. It is never published without your explicit permission.
"Host a plaque in your city" (also on the Get Involved page): your name, email address, and mailing details needed to post you a plaque. This is used only to arrange sending you a physical plaque and to follow up by email.
Both forms are handled by Netlify Forms, the hosting provider's built-in form service. Submissions are stored in Netlify's dashboard, which only Anna can access, and are not shared with any third party or advertiser.
What we don't collect
This site does not run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising or tracking script. It does not use cookies to track you across other websites. If you simply browse the site without submitting a form, no personal data is collected at all. (We hope to add basic, privacy-respecting visit statistics in the future — if we do, this page will be updated first.)
Language and theme preference
Your chosen language and light/dark preference are saved locally in your own browser (via localStorage) so the site remembers your choice on your next visit. This information never leaves your device and is not visible to us.
How long we keep it
Form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to you or to fulfil a plaque request, and are deleted on request at any time (see below).
Your rights
You can ask, at any time, to see what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted entirely — including withdrawing permission for anything already shared publicly. Just write to us using the contact link below and we'll act on it promptly.
Contact
Questions about this policy, or a request to access or delete your data, can be sent via the contact form or through Instagram.
